Ingredients
- 4 ripe tomatoes (heirloom or Roma are perfect, but any juicy tomato will do)
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced into rounds
- Fresh basil leaves (enough to garnish each tomato and cheese slice)
- 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil (the good stuff—this is no time for compromise)
- 1–2 tbsp balsamic glaze (or balsamic reduction for that sweet tang)
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
