  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 2 (10.5 ounce) cans condensed French onion soup (divided use)
  • 2-3 pound chuck roast
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 Tablespoons cornstarch
